Beldarrain Sagardoa

Beldarrain Sagardoa

A project born out of a special harvest: the first cider produced entirely in Beldarrain, from the apple to the finished product.

Always our way.

Our Cider

We take care to preserve the countryside and the distinctive character of the local apple, closely overseeing the entire process. The result is our range of ciders, each with its own identity, reflecting our tradition and way of working.

Our History

Tradition & Family

The story of Alorrenea began in 2001, in Astigarraga, with one family’s dream and enthusiasm. The project, launched by Xabier Mariezkurrena and Garbiñe Etxezarreta, has grown over the years, whilst remaining true to its roots, its craftsmanship and its connection to the world of cider. Today, the family’s hard work, heritage and tradition passed down from generation to generation form the foundation of our identity.

The story of our cider begins in the countryside, in Aia, amongst the apple orchards of the Beldarrain farmstead. Using the apples grown there, we produce our cider in Astigarraga, closely overseeing the entire process, from the orchard to the bottle. The care we take at every stage and our daily work give our cider its character.

Over the years, new generations of the family have also joined us to ensure the project’s continuity and to keep growing as we look to the future. Preserving what we have inherited from the past is important to us, but so is keeping this tradition alive, adapting to changing times whilst remaining true to our way of working.

But Alorrenea is more than just cider. It is a place to share a meal, get together with family and friends, and celebrate special moments. That is why our doors are open all year round, so you can enjoy the tradition of the cider house and our cuisine.
